Summer Fun for Preschoolers

Do you wish there were more summer activities for your pre-schooler? Do you want them to keep learning and be ready for Kindergarten or the next level of preschool? Look no more! Your pre-schooler will come home reeling from their exciting and educational camp! Activities include: space adventures, water fun, outdoor games, science experiments, ABC’s & 123’s, kitchen creations and more!  Sign up for 1 week or all 4! Select the a.m. or p.m. session – mix and match during the week or choose just one.

 

Lego Minecraft

Are your kids obsessed with creepers, endermen, TNT and Steve? If you know these terms, it’s time for LEGO Minecraft camp! This camp will bring MINECRAFT to life with LEGO bricks.  Kids will create their own world, including animals, creepers and their very own LEGO Minecraft character.  Kids will be divided into like age groups and/or building ability to make the most of their camp experience.

Lego Superheroes

Do your kids love playing with LEGOs? Do they love super hero characters? Put the two together and you’ve got one fun camp! LEGO Super Hero camp will engage your children in creating their own fantasy super hero world.  Each day kids will be engaged in activities to promote independent and imaginative building. Kids will create stories using their builds engaging in fun, free play with their new friends.  Kids will be divided into like age groups and/or building ability to make the most of their camp experience.

American Girl - Dolls through the Decades

Does your daughter LOVE American Girl dolls? This camp will bring your daughter into the worlds of her favorite dolls – Addy, Samantha, Kit, Molly and Julie – as they play, laugh, and learn about life in America in different time periods.  Representative of the era in which the American Girls lived, your daughter will create toys, hats, jewellery and snacks.  The girls will use their creations in themed and free play with their new camp friends. Bring your American Girl or any doll you love!

American Girl - My Girl Fun

Does your daughter love to make things for her American Girl Doll? This camp will teach girls how to use everyday household items to create no-sew clothes, furniture, doll food, accessories and more! Each day girls will use their imaginations to role play with their new creations and friends. Finally, the girls can make videos together with their dolls. Bring an American Girl or any doll!

Stories Come Alive with Legos

Do you struggle to keep your kids reading and writing over the summer?  Or do you like to find new ways to help your kids use their imagination? This camp will achieve both. Kids bring their imaginations to life by building LEGO scenes from their own stories and favorite books.  Finally, kids will create comic book versions of stories on the computer. This camp meets common core standards for language arts, but your kids will just call it FUN!  This camp utilizes LEGO Education’s Storystarter program.

Want to be a Disney Channel Star?

(CHLD12101) AGES: 7 - 12

TIME: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

DATE: 7/21-7/25

Would your kids love to be on Disney Channel shows like; “Good Luck Charlie,” “Lab Rats,” “Jessie,” “Austin & Ally,” or “Dog with A Blog”?  Do they love movies like “High School Musical” and “Teen Beach Movie”?  This camp will teach your wanna-be Disney Channel star the skills needed to become a triple threat in acting, dance and voice.  Kids will act out episodes or scenes from their favorite shows, becoming their favorite characters. They’ll design costumes by using their own clothes and create sets with household items.  The week will culminate with an end-of-week showcase for parents and friends.

 

Art All Around Us

 Can your child see the beauty in the world around them?  This camp will take everyday items and make them into works of art. Each day will consist of outdoor time to collect objects.  Whether its sticks, rocks, dirt, grass or even recyclables, kids will learn how to make incredible things by simply using their imagination.  Each day kids will learn art concepts and play art based games.

Messy Olympics

Each day of camp kids will have fun getting lots of exercise and potentially messy in games, activities, crafts and more.  Your kids may get wet and dirty so send them in their “play clothes”!

Around the World in 5 Days

Get your passports ready! It’s GLOBETROTTING time.  Each day your child will visit a country from around the world like FRANCE, CHINA, BRAZIL, or EGYPT. Kids will be kept hopping while learning what kids around the world do for fun! Country-specific games, crafts, dance, language and foods will be covered. Kids will be having so much fun they won’t even realize they are learning about the world!

Outdoor Adventures

Summer is the best time for outdoor fun with friends! Kids will keep their minds and bodies active while making use of all of their senses – sight, sound, taste, touch and smell! Kids will test their skills in team and individual challenges and games. Each day will be spent outside, weather permitting, with time for rest and recuperation. We’ll send your kids home exhausted! Your kids may get wet and dirty so send them in their “play clothes”!

Fly, Float, Soar & Blastoff!

Does your child love things that fly, float, soar or blast off? In this camp, we will cover the principles of how objects can defy gravity. Hands-on activities will have kids creating hot air balloons, having longest float contests, shooting off objects into “space”, and working with a team to win flight battles.  We will also take walking field trips to visit the Beaver County airport control tower, chat with an air traffic controller and a pilot and actually fly in a flight simulator!

Snap, Scratch & Bots

Is your child a GAMER?   In this camp, kids will design their own video games and simple animations using Scratch and Alice, write code, design Sphero battle bots, learn beginning design, build electronic projects, and more.  Kids will learn how to make their own characters, design leveled games and work together.  All kids who enjoy computers will LOVE this camp!

Harry Potter & Fun at Hogwarts

Is your child still waiting for their Hogwarts Letter to arrive by owl? The wait is over for the lucky Witches and Wizards who enroll in this camp. After obtaining a wand and being sorted into the proper house, students will compete for the Hogwarts House Cup by completing magical activities such as:  learn and Practice spells for Dueling Club, follow the Stars in Astronomy class, brew some potions, catch a Snitch during Quidditch, write for the Daily Prophet, exercise your green thumb during Herbology, create your own Patronus, and more.  It’s not necessary to have read the books or watched the movies for this camp.  

Kids Can Cook

Do you have a budding chef?  Kids Can Cook is a fun-filled week that will introduce your child to the world of culinary arts. Young culinarians will learn basic cooking and baking principles as well as how to serve a complete made-from-scratch meal. Kids will work in teams and have fun in some TV-inspired competitions like “Top Chef” where they put what they have learned to the taste-test! Each week kids will cook different foods and learn different techniques.
