Our Planning Process
2013-2016 Strategic Plan
As the face of Beaver County’s future changes, CCBC will continue its commitment to being an active partner in expanding educational opportunities and shaping economic growth in our region. For 47 years, the College has helped shape the future of Beaver County residents by equipping individuals with knowledge and skills to further their education, acquire meaningful employment, and enhance the quality of their lives.
Ask any one of our current employees why they work at CCBC, and you will hear the same answer over and over again. It’s the people - the students, staff and faculty who make up our campus community. There is a feeling of connectedness here. It is that sense of shared accomplishment and friendship that motivates us to work together to fulfill our mission and to change the lives of our students.
Many within the College participated in the process of identifying objectives and action steps for updating the College’s Strategic Plan. We have engaged students to discuss their perceptions of what we do well and where we can improve, and have collected and used data to inform our planning efforts. At the same time, we have been actively engaged in conversations with current and potential employers from across the region with the intent of identifying unmet training needs and new partnerships that can be used to support workforce training initiatives.
After months of work, and the engagement of dozens of people both inside and outside of the College, the 2013-2016 Strategic Plan was approved by the Board of Trustees in October 2013 to provide future direction for the College. It is this collective voice of employees, students and community that guides us in our continuing efforts to effectively serve the educational needs of our community.
