The Academic Excellence Scholarship is available to students who are Beaver County Residents, enrolled as seniors at a Beaver County high school and have top ranked status; however, they are not eligible for the Presidential Scholarship. Students must have attained a minimum 3.0 grade point average. Upon award of the scholarship, the students shall be referred to as CCBC Scholars.
The scholarship is not contingent upon financial aid. It covers tuition and fees, excluding flight fees and academic enhancement fees, for the fall and spring semesters. It is automatically renewed for the sophomore year provided the scholar maintains full-time status with a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and completes fifteen service-hours per semester. Applicants must apply for College admission and complete and return the Presidential and Academic Excellence Scholarship application to the Financial Aid Office by the first Friday in April of the year in which they plan to graduate from high school. The scholarship is not assignable, transferable, or refundable in cash or tuition value.
The Directors of Enrollment Services and Student Financial Services, or successor officers, are responsible for the execution of this procedure.
