The Board of Trustees wants its campuses and facilities to provide a healthy, comfortable and productive environment for its students, its employees and for the general public. Since the use of tobacco and tobacco products poses a significant health risk, the Board directs that smoking or other use of tobacco products shall be prohibited on the grounds or within buildings under control of the College. This will include campus facilities, centers and/or sites owned and/or operated by the College and shall apply to college owned or college operated vehicles as well. This Policy is effective August 17, 2012.
The Board directs the President to develop procedures for the implementation of this policy and to establish penalties as may be required for full implementation of the intent of the Board.
