3.04.003 - Dual Enrollment
The Board of Trustees recognizes that there are students ready in high school to benefit from a post secondary educational experience. To meet that need, they support dual enrollment programs that allow high school students to enroll in college coursework and receive both high school and college credit. These include standard dual enrollment programs where the courses are offered on campus, “college in the high school” programs that offer college-level courses in high schools, and “tech prep” programs with articulated agreements between the high schools and the community college for the purposes of technical and professional training.
The College administration will develop procedures that will facilitate the implementation of dual enrollment programs at the college while maintaining the integrity and rigor of the courses offered though these programs.
