Opened in 1974 the Police Training Academy is located on the campus at The Community College of Beaver County in Center Township, Monaca, Pennsylvania. The academy was opened with the vision of providing training for police officers in Beaver and surrounding counties. The academy has fulfilled that mission and beyond. The academy is assisted in its mission by the Municipal Police Officers Education & Training Commission and is overseen by The Beaver County Board of Commissioners and the Board of Directors at The Community College of Beaver County.
The Police Academy is committed to training all persons aspiring to obtain the Act 120 required training to be certified as a police officer in Pennsylvania and to also provide Act 180 Mandatory–In-Service Training for all active duty police officers. This will continue to be the ongoing commitment of the Academy.
The Academy is located at the CCBC Aviation Sciences Center, 125 Cessna Drive, Beaver Falls, PA 15010 which is in Chippewa Twp.
