Carl D. Perkins Grant
The “Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement Act of 2006” was put in place to enhance the skills of secondary and postsecondary education students who have chosen to enroll in career and technical education programs of study. The Perkins Grant provides CCBC with funds to support staff, purchase supplies and provide professional development to allow students to benefit from CCBC’s academic, career and supportive services. Students are provided opportunities to develop their technical and academic skills so that they can be better prepared for high skill, high wage and high demand professions, and to help them become competitive and competent in America’s job market.
The CCBC Carl D. Perkins Grant provides funds for student success programs, not CCBC students directly.
