Beaver County's "The First Tee" Chapter

In 1997, the LGPA, Masters Tournament, PGA of America, PGA TOUR and USGA formed a partnership with the help of Founding Corporate Partner, Shell Oil, to lead an initiative called The First Tee. This initiative began as a way to bring golf to kids and teens that otherwise would not be exposed to the game. It's mission is to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices.

The First Tee of Beaver Falls was originally formed in 1999 by Patrick A. Gallagher (Owner, PGT Trucking) and W. Richard Blackwood (Owner, Black Hawk Golf Course).

Today, The First Tee of Beaver Falls clinics operate from Black Hawk Golf Course's PAR 3 and driving range, serving the following PA counties: Beaver, Butler, and Lawrence, as well as Columbiana County in Ohio. Children ages 4 to 17 can join for $35 per clinic.
