Social Science

Degree Offered: Associate in Arts

The Social Science major is for students entering professions such as law, social service, divinity, psychology, sociology, history, economics, and anthropology.

In the Social Sciences you will explore the behavior of individuals, the groups with which those individuals interact, and the world in which they live. Through these studies, you lay the foundation for a variety of careers that help you understand yourself and others.

In addition, many fields employ Social Science majors to work with other employees or with customers. Social Scientists are also employed as researchers in many fields like marketing and government because they have a good understanding of social tendencies.

Upon enrolling in the program, you will take the classes that are normally required during the first two years at four-year colleges and universities. With easily transferable credits, you will me more than ready to transfer into a program leading to a Bachelor's degree after graduation.
