ARTS & SCIENCES: Liberal Arts/Fine Arts Degree Program
Degree Offered: Associate in Arts
Credits Required: 64/65

Program Director:
Dr. John Gall, Liberal Arts & Sciences
john.gall@ccbc.edu

If you are interested in becoming a fine artist, an art teacher, a museum administrator, an archival or antique restorer, a commercial artist, or a graphic designer, our Liberal Arts major with a concentration in Fine Arts will appeal to you.

Designed to prepare you for transfer into a college or university program leading to a baccalaureate degree, our art courses and liberal arts core are comparable in content and skills development with the first two years of student at four-year institutions.

Our studio courses in drawing, painting, design, and computer graphics will present creative experiences to develop your skills in conceptualization, composition, and craftsman-like execution. In addition, these courses let you produce quality artwork for your portfolio, which will showcase your talent and versatility for college transfer or employment.

Freshmen and sophomore courses in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and language studies will provide the liberal arts core needed to complement your art concentration and to complete your interesting and comprehensive educational experience at CCBC.
