Library Collection

The CCBC Library collection consists of approximately 36,000 titles including fiction, nonfiction, children's, reference, audiobooks, videos, and DVDs.

The Library collection is organized according to the Dewey Decimal Classification System , which divides all knowledge into ten major groups, and assigns numbers to each of these groups. For example, books on education are given a 370 call number; religion books can be found at the 200s area.

Due to the renovation, locations may be altered when we return to the LRC.

* The Library does not carry textbooks for all courses.  Sometimes instructors leave their own copies of textbooks at the Customer Service desk for student use, but these are for in-library use only.

To find out whether the Library carries a specific title - book, video, DVD or periodical - use B-VR-PAC, the Library's online public access catalog. For directions on how to use B-VR-PAC, please click here.

To obtain a list of all books in the Spanish language, do a subject search for Book in Spanish in the online catalog.

After locating a book in the catalog, copy its call number, which will indicate its location on the shelves. The library staff will be glad to help you find what you are looking for.
