CCBC Career Center
CCBC offers a Career Center on campus that is available to both students and alumni. The CCBC Career Center provides accessibility and one-stop delivery of career services to job seekers, employers, and other interested individuals. It offers information on labor-market data, state and federal job banks, government services, and education and training programs, among others. As an adult, you may still be asking yourself this same question. Now as you prepare to begin your college career, the time has come to seriously consider the answer to this age-old question.
CCBC's Career Center understand that such a major life decision can be overwhelming and even scary at times. That is why we provide the help you need when choosing the career path that's right for you.
Career Center's friendly and professional staff is ready to assist full-time students, part-time students, and CCBC alumni with career planning and job searching.
Serving as a liaison between the College and the employment community, CCBC's Career Center can provide you with job leads, placement techniques, and other general information relevant to today's job market.
The following services are provided free of charge to all students and alumni. Simply take a few moments to register in the Career Center and have access to: Discover - a web based resource for career planning and career information. You can take three different inventories that will help to assess your values, interests and abilities, and then recommend potential career options. Students can also explore different occupations and majors, as well as schools that they may be interested in attending to further their studies. Appointments are required.
Please Understand Me (PUM) - interactive software to learn more about yourself and receive a personality profile at the completion of your session.
Workshops - provided each semester on topics such as Resume Writing, Job Search Skills, Interviewing Techniques, Job Fairs, and Business Etiquette.
Career Resources Library - employment outlook information, occupational and career information, local labor market statistics, data and predictions
Job Opportunities - provides full-time and part-time job leads anytime of the year as well as direct referrals to employers. Community College of Beaver County offers students and employers a comprehensive online job posting, recruitment, and resume referral service on the Intranet through College Central Network, Inc. (CCN)) at www.collegecentral.com/ccbcpa.
By registering and submitting a resume online, students and alumni are able to obtain a confidential, user friendly, and direct connection to full-time, part-time, co-op, seasonal, and volunteer jobs. Businesses may search for qualified applicants with specific skills and post job openings at the site
