CEs for RN License Renewal

The Community College of Beaver County is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the PA State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.  There are No Tuition Waivers for the RN License Renewal Courses.

Pennsylvania RNs are required to obtain 30 hours of continuing education during each two-year licensure renewal period, as mandated by Act 58, which was signed into law by Governor Rendell.  As an approved provider, CCBC may now award contact hours to nurses who attend continuing education nursing programs conducted by the College directly or which are held in conjunction with another organization.

If you are an RN, here’s what you need to do to start earning your CE hours from CCBC:
  • Check the expiration date on your current license.
  • Based on your license’s expiration date, look for CE offerings from CCBC that occur within the following time frames for your renewal period:

Expiration Date:                      Obtain 30 CE hours:

          April 30, 2012                         May 1, 2010 - April 30, 2012
          October 31, 2012                    November 1, 2010 - October 31, 2012
