CCBC WORLD LITERATURE CLASS INVITES YOU TO CELEBRATE WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH

Discover the power of the female voice in poetry, music and more. Join us on Tuesday, March 19 at 6:15 p.m. in the College’s Learn Resources Center, room 9103, for a presentation that honors women artists who are making a difference in the world.

Sponsored by the students in CCBC’s World Literature class, “Girls Gone Wild: Women Artists of the World,” showcases significant women artists from around the world who are making an impact on society through music, poetry and more. The presentation includes a brief discussion of feminist history as well as a tribute to singer, actress and activist Helen Reddy, who is best known for her 70’s hit “I Am Woman.” Three additional current feminist artists who create political statements through music, art and poetry will also be featured.
