As part of a partnership agreement, Saint Joseph’s University (SJU) will offer students of Community College of Beaver County a 10 percent tuition reduction scholarship toward the online Bachelor of Science in Professional and Liberal Studies (PLS). The agreement helps minimize course duplication and accelerate degree completion.

The program is designed to seamlessly take existing college credits and provide the flexibility and convenience of completing coursework online to fit the busy lifestyles of students.

Saint Joseph’s University has been helping working adults complete their bachelor’s degree for more than 30 years. The Professional and Liberal Studies degree at Saint Joseph’s University offers powerful writing and problem solving skills that are invaluable in any position or industry. This degree provides flexibility for customization including two concentrations, organization development and leadership and autism studies.

The organization development and leadership concentration brings together psychology, sociology and communication to equip students with applicable skills to successfully manage organizations for success. Graduates are positioned to be change agents to assess the interactions of employees, strategic development, ethical considerations and policies.

The online autism studies concentration offered by Saint Joseph’s is one of only 50 globally that is approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) which prepares students to take the Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) Examination for the industry’s leading accreditation. This concentration is designed for occupational therapists, mobile therapists, speech pathologists, physical therapists, policy-makers, health care providers and family members to learn the necessary and applicable skills to care for those diagnosed with autism.
