Lauren Petterson, a second-year culinary arts student from Beaver, PA, received the First National Bank Culinary Scholarship at the CCBC Foundation 16th annual HollyDay on Friday, November 30.

"FNB greatly values our relationship with CCBC and is happy to be able to help further the education of their very talented students with the scholarship program,” says Alan D. Bicker, Regional Banking Executive for First National Bank. “HollyDay is a wonderful event and reflects the excellence of CCBC and its mission."

For several years, First National Bank has generously donated to the CCBC Foundation.  To honor First National Bank’s contribution, the Culinary Arts Scholarship was named the First National Bank Culinary Scholarship in 2011. 

Lauren is currently in her second year of the culinary arts program and serves as an intern to the first year instructor.

“This program has instilled me with a steel-clad work ethic and knowledge of everything from ServSafe sanitation to construction of menus based solely on dietary restrictions as well as the importance of time management and working as a unit in the kitchen,” says Lauren.

Lauren plans to work across the country and one day own a small fusion café near a college campus.
