      With plenty of sunshine on Friday, June 6 for the CCBC Foundation 14th annual Golf Outing, golfers enjoyed a day at Black Hawk Golf Course while helping to raise $33,000 for student scholarships. 

      “Thanks to the golfers as well as the individuals and businesses who sponsored the event, the CCBC Foundation is able to provide scholarships to students in our community,” said Scott Monit, Executive Director/PGT Trucking and Vice Chairman of the CCBC Foundation. “The funds raised at the outing help support the educational goals of many students, from those right out of high school to those seeking retraining to head back to the workforce.”

      160 golfers attended the outing with State Representative Jim Christiana’s team winning first place; US Securities team winning second place; and Butler County Community College team winning third place.   

      The platinum sponsor, Ron Lewis Automotive, gave golfers the chance to win a car by making a hole in one.
