CCBC BOARD OF TRUSTEES DESIGNATE DR. JOE D. FORRESTER AS PRESIDENT EMERITUS
Recognizing Dr. Joe D. Forrester’s exemplary service to the Community College of Beaver County during his 15 years as President, the Board of Trustees bestowed Dr. Forrester with the title of President Emeritus at the April 2014 Board of Trustees meeting.
Dr. Joe D. Forrester has served as President of Community College of Beaver County since October 1, 1999, making him the College’s longest-tenured president to-date. With a staff of five vice presidents and a total employee base of 150 full-time and over 200 part-time employees, Dr. Forrester has guided the College through a significant period of change and growth.
Fostering a positive image of the College within the community, Dr. Forrester transformed the College into a place where every student feels welcome and can find success. He led the campus through a renovation project and record-breaking enrollments, making CCBC the first choice for high school and non-traditional students alike. His vision for the College and participation in reform networks like Achieving the Dream and Strategic Horizons have given CCBC Leader College status and improved student engagement and retention.
Dr. Forrester will participate in his final Commencement as President on May 8, 2014 and retire as President of Community College of Beaver County on June 30, 2014.
