Monaca, PAPennsylvania Business Central, a business and economic development publication that serves 23 counties throughout central Pennsylvania, has named Community College of Beaver County (CCBC) to its Top 100 Organizations List for the second consecutive year in recognition of the College’s contributions to the community and economic development.

Pennsylvania Business Central solicits nominations from readers and consults with chambers of commerce to gather a pool of potential candidates for the annual Top 100 list of honorees. The newspaper’s editorial board ultimately makes the final selections.

“It has always been Pennsylvania Business Central’s honor to select and spotlight the 100 organizations in our readership that continue to strengthen the region’s B2B marketplace and keep our state moving forward,” said Holly Riddle, editor, as the list was announced today.

The companies and organizations were chosen based on three core components: consistent growth, commitment to honest business practices and community giving. When analyzed against all three criteria, the list consists of 100 organizations that are proud of and responsible for growing the economy of the Commonwealth.

“It is a distinct honor to be recognized by Pennsylvania Business Central again this year, stated CCBC President Dr. Chris Reber. “Our continued commitment to partnerships that promote the welfare of the Commonwealth has placed us in excellent company with the many fine and respected organizations named as honorees in this year’s publication. Education and workforce development are integral to realizing our shared vision for a renaissance of opportunity, and CCBC is proud to contribute to this important work in Beaver County, our region and throughout Pennsylvania.”

Top 100 Organizations are leaders in their chosen fields, bringing new ideas, technology, and services to their counties and spheres of influence. Each honoree also exemplifies the hard work and dedication necessary to move forward and thrive in their specific fields, and the compassion to make a difference within their communities through volunteer work, outreach, and public service.

Honorees come from a wide range of fields such as construction, nonprofit, banking, and education.

Nominees are selected annually from 23 counties in Central Pennsylvania, including Beaver, Bedford, Blair, Bradford, Cambria, Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, Fayette, Greene, Huntingdon, Indiana, Juniata, Lycoming, Mifflin, Northumberland, Snyder, Somerset, Susquehanna, Tioga, Union, Washington and Westmoreland counties.
