Monaca, PA - Community College of Beaver County (CCBC) announces the appointment of David J. Gabauer to the CCBC Foundation Board of Directors. Comprising volunteer business and community leaders who support the strategic plan and advancement of the college, the CCBC Foundation Board is charged with enhancing the educational environment and creating new opportunities for CCBC students, faculty and staff through philanthropy.

A lifelong resident of Beaver County and proud alum, Gabauer attended CCBC before earning his associate in specialized technology degree from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. Gabauer has spent nearly 30 years in the funeral home industry, and he currently serves as the Beaver County Coroner. An active member of the community, Gabauer serves on the board of numerous nonprofits including Beaver County Prescription Drug Abuse Coalition, Pennsylvania Law Enforcement First Responders Coalition, Seven Oaks Country Club and Friends of Old Economy Village.

“Dave is a model citizen of Beaver County and is actively engaged in our community,” said Kolton Codner, Executive Director of the Foundation and CCBC’s Executive Director of Advancement and Sponsored Programs. “His intimate understanding of our community’s needs and his leadership abilities make him an excellent addition to our already impressive board.”

This past academic year witnessed historic fund acquisition for CCBC and the CCBC Foundation achieving record levels of extramural support and helping advance critical initiatives with regional impact. CCBC raised nearly $3 million of philanthropic funding during 2017-18, and is poised for continued success into the 2018-19 fiscal year.
