Short-Term Electrical Instructors

The School of Industrial Technology & Continuing Education is seeking individuals to work on a short term project that will involve teaching fundamental skills in the following areas:

  • Basic Electric Print and Schematic Reading – a 6 hour course
  • Introduction to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) – an 8 hour course
  • Basic Electrical Troubleshooting – a 16 hour course

 Relevant work experience considered in lieu of a degree, and exposure to manufacturing processes in the steel industry a plus. It's the perfect position for a recent retiree or someone working on a part-time basis. Pay is negotiable, depending on experience.

ELECTRICAL INSTRUCTORS (PART-TIME)

The School of Industrial Technology and Continuing Education is seeking a part-time instructor to teach in electrical technology to companies in Beaver County and the surrounding region.  The position is project-based and the work schedule can include day or evening assignments.

Preferred candidates should have at least 5-10 years of experience in the electrical filed and possess excellent oral communication skills in delivering training to adults in both classroom and industry settings.  Ideal candidate will provide instruction in such areas, as: basic electricity, industrial electricity, blueprint and schematic reading, relay and ladder logic, PLCs, residential and commerical wiring, electrical safety, OHM's law, measurement skills, basic math calculations related to electrical, electrical safety, and NEC code.

Desire Journeyman Electrician or retired electrician who enjoys teaching others and is skilled in explaining technical information to others.

Computer Instructors (Part-Time)

The School of Industrial Technology and Continuing Education is seeking a part-time instructor to teach computers in the non-credit division at CCBC. 

The position is project-based and the work schedule includes day or evening assignments.  Customized training is typically held during the day while non-credit classes are most often held in the evening.  You do not have to be able to teach both day and evening classes in order to be considered for this opportunity.

Preferred candidates should possess an excellent command of MS Excel, from introductory to advanced level skills with 1-5 years of experience teaching or tutoring in computer technology.  Office 365 and programming skills a plus.
