Examples of Customized Workforce Development Training

Workforce Development TrainingBelow are examples of customized programs that were specifically designed with the company's training needs in mind:

  • 10 Hour OSHA By CCBC Safety Instructor 2-day program

    This 10-hour 2 day course covers OSHA specific topics such as PPE, Lockout Tag Out, Hazardous Communication, Bloodborne Pathogens, Electrical, Walking and Working Surfaces, and more.  CCBC will issue “Certificates of Completion” along with the 29CFR 1910 General Industry Standard card.


  • Introduction to Welding      Ten, 4-hour days

    This 40 hour course was developed to improve the welding skills in the specific areas of shielded metal, arc welding and oxy-fuel cutting. The student, after completion of this course, will be able to perform welding in the vertical and overhead position in compliance with the American Welding Society Structural Welding Code.

  • Fork Truck Certification by CCBC Safety Instructor   ½-day program

    This 4 hour course will cover safe operation of Industrial Trucks (fork) in an industrial environment; Program specifically follows OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178 guidelines. Also included, students will learn about truck inspection equipment and general operating procedures. Each participant will be able to operate and inspect an Industrial Fork Truck. Each will receive a certificate from OSHA. (Train the Trainer also available).

  • Computer Classes and Information Technology

    MS Office Applications includes Intro, Intermediate, Advance Levels to Word – Excel – Access – PowerPoint Internet / Email & Outlook  
    Information Technology includes Web Design, Cisco, Tech Support, A+, Network +, MCSE, MCSA, CIP and more.


  • Introduction to Blueprint Reading     
    Blueprints are manufacturing instructions and generally contain a drawing, dimensions, and notes.  Blueprints originate in the engineering department and give the manufacturing department all the information that is needed to manufacture a product.  Basic Blueprint Reading will teach the student how to form a mental picture of the product on the drawing along with what is needed to produce the item.  The following is a list of subjects that will be discussed in detail:

    In this exciting, humorous, result-producing workshop, participants will focus on human behavior and interpersonal skills.  You will learn what makes people tick and how to interact more effectively with employees, co-workers, clients, family, and friends.  You will gain a clear insight into the motives that compel people to behave the way they do, make the decisions they make and interact with others in the style they present.  You will also learn about multiple-intelligence and how it affects personal motivation and morale as well as learn how to select the right person for the right position, assignment or task as a result of their innate abilities and motives.  You will laugh yourself silly all the while learning important concepts and techniques which will help you solve your diverse workplace concerns!  As one workshop participant stated, “Rebecca Christeson is a live wire!  If you think this is just another ho-hum workshop, you’re in for the ride of your life!”


  • Ergonomics by CCBC Safety Instructor   ½-day program
    Using your computer can be a pain in the neck - literally. If your employee’s monitor is too high, they may be tilting their head to view it, causing headaches or neck pain. A keyboard that's not positioned correctly can lead to discomfort in their wrists, while an improperly adjusted chair may cause lower back or leg pain. Our Ergonomics program can give your employees insight into the possible injury that may occur by not practicing Good Ergonomics! 2 – 3 hour program (depending on the specific needs of your company)
