Academics
Community College of Beaver County offers programs designed to provide a quality education to those students who plan to enter the job market immediately after graduation or transfer to a four-year college or university.
For those students who would like to take college level courses while still attending high school, CCBC, along with high schools in Beaver County, offers dual enrollment courses, college in the high school courses and high school enrichment courses. Individuals who have left high school without a diploma may take General Educational Development Testing, a program designed to prepare individuals who do not have a formal high school education to take a series of tests in order to qualify for a High School Equivalency Diploma.
New programs are developed by CCBC faculty to address the needs of the region. Robotics, Nanotechnology, and Web Design New Media are just a few of the examples of new programs offered this year.
